Here's a question straight out of sci-fi: What if AI could predict what you were going to do before you decided to, even in a completely new situation?
An Israeli startup has developed a "behavioral world model" designed to predict how individuals will act in new situations by analyzing their underlying psychological tendencies rather than just their past behavior patterns. The system is currently being used by financial brokerages to forecast how traders will respond to market conditions, and the company claims it achieves high accuracy rates in predicting trading direction and volume. The technology works by examining multiple data points from customer interactions, including support calls, onboarding processes, and trading activity, which are converted into mathematical representations and fed into a machine learning model. The company raised $62.5 million in funding and is exploring applications beyond finance in gaming, fraud prevention, and cybersecurity, though it acknowledges ethical concerns about how such predictive capabilities could potentially be misused.

OpenAI has updated its Model Spec, restructuring its AI behavior guidelines around five core values, including faithfulness to human intent and correctability. GPT models should now draw on conversation history to figure out what users actually want and disclose their own assumptions. Whether the models follow these rules is another matter.
