Le Chonk: Built for Coders, Trusted by Defenders.

The weights of Mistral Large 4 (Le Chonk) are now open. A 1T parameter multimodal model, and best open-weight model for coding, trained in Europe.

Get smart on it

Mistral Large 4, also known as Le Chonk, is a 1-trillion-parameter multimodal model released by Mistral AI with improved capabilities in coding and cybersecurity. The model ranks as the best open-weight model for coding and was trained from scratch on European infrastructure, giving organizations control over their AI deployment. It matters because it was designed to support both developers building coding applications and cybersecurity professionals performing defensive security tasks, while including built-in guardrails that distinguish between legitimate defensive work and malicious requests. The model supports three reasoning modes to allow developers to balance performance and inference costs, and it can be customized and self-hosted by organizations that require data sovereignty.

Google’s next Genie AI model generates more realistic experiences

Google announced today its Genie 4 world model for generating interactive experiences using AI. The company says the model has four main updates: It allows for more realistic worlds, lets users update an experience in real time with a natural language prompt, can generate audio, and uses Gemini 3.8 Flash under the hood to help with its simulations. It also can create experiences that are about two minutes long, up from one minute for the previous Genie 3 model. Google is pitchi
