Applied Compute, an AI infrastructure startup, raised $350 million in funding at a $3.25 billion valuation after reaching $100 million in annualized recurring revenue in less than 18 months. The company operates a cloud platform that helps developers train large language models and perform inference, with features including an asynchronous training approach that allows data generation and model refinement to run simultaneously rather than sequentially. The company plans to use the new funding to expand its market presence and purchase additional infrastructure as it builds what its founders describe as a broader AI infrastructure stack.
