Get smart on it

Anthropic, an artificial intelligence provider, revealed updated financial results in a revised filing ahead of its planned public offering. The company generated $17 billion in quarterly revenue, more than 11 times higher than a year earlier, though its growth rate slowed from the previous quarter. Anthropic posted an operating loss of $536 million in the third quarter, driven by a $5 billion charge for purchasing computing hardware at premium prices due to higher-than-expected demand and a $2 billion charge related to an employee donation matching program. The company has committed to approximately $314 billion in infrastructure purchases and faces competition from open-source models, other AI providers, and technology giants.
