Get smart on it

Saudi Aramco, an oil company, is investing $2.6 billion to acquire a 49 percent stake in Humain, an AI company founded by Saudi Arabia's sovereign wealth fund in May 2025. Humain builds data centers, develops cloud services, and trains AI models, with plans to construct three gigawatts of data center capacity by 2030 and become a leading AI exporter serving both domestic and international markets. Aramco plans to use Humain's technology in its own operations and generate revenue by selling AI solutions, while Humain is also strengthening security for its data centers amid regional conflict. The partnership reflects Saudi Arabia's strategy to establish itself as a global AI hub while leveraging Aramco's infrastructure expertise and resources.
