Teaching students to think and learn through questions

Celebrate Teachers’ Day with AI for Educators in Brazilian Portuguese and see how Study Mode can help teachers support active, step-by-step learning.

Get smart on it

OpenAI has launched an AI for Educators course in Brazilian Portuguese on its free learning platform, designed to help teachers at primary, secondary, and higher education levels use AI for lesson planning, creating activities and assessments, and preparing communications while maintaining their pedagogical judgment. A feature called Study Mode encourages active learning by asking students questions one at a time, providing hints and explanations, and checking understanding through step-by-step exploration of subjects. The feature was developed with teachers, scientists, and pedagogy experts to promote active participation and reflection on reasoning. Teachers can use Study Mode to evaluate whether AI-generated questions encourage reasoning and whether explanations suit their students, helping identify areas that need further review with the class.
