OpenAI: ChatGPT Ads expands to 26 new countries as over 100,000 advertisers have used the platform
From local businesses to global brands, more advertisers can now reach people as they explore, compare and decide what to buy in ChatGPT.
ChatGPT Ads is an advertising platform that OpenAI launched eight months ago, and it is now expanding to 26 additional countries, bringing total availability to 89 countries worldwide. Over 100,000 advertisers have already used the platform to reach people as they explore and compare options within ChatGPT. Ads appear only on free and lower-cost subscription tiers, while paid premium subscriptions remain ad-free, and OpenAI states that conversations remain private from advertisers and ads do not influence ChatGPT's responses. The expansion supports OpenAI's goal of funding free access to ChatGPT while helping businesses of various sizes reach consumers at moments when they are actively evaluating options and making decisions.
