Get smart on it

Google's AI assistant Gemini now allows users to generate, preview, and edit multiple file formats including documents, spreadsheets, slides, and code directly within the chat interface, rather than requiring them to leave the app to make changes. The feature builds on Google's earlier support for generating and downloading files in Gemini and allows users to highlight content and ask the AI to make specific edits, such as converting a table into a graph. Similar functionality already exists through Gemini's integrations in Google's Workspace apps and in competing AI products.
