Waze, a Google-owned navigation app, is introducing several new features powered by Google's Gemini AI assistant, including personalized route suggestions based on driving history and traffic patterns, conversational search to find destinations, and a new Motorcycle mode designed for two-wheeler-specific navigation. The updates reflect a broader effort by Google to integrate Gemini across its products while helping Waze compete with rival navigation services like Apple Maps. New capabilities include the ability to report road updates conversationally, a "less chatty" mode that reduces voice prompts during drives, and motorcycle-specific hazard alerts. These features are rolling out globally to Android and iOS users, with Motorcycle mode initially launching in select countries.
