Suno is trying to look more like a real music production tool

Suno is releasing a major update to its music creation software that adds features typically found in professional digital audio workstations, including MIDI support, automation controls, and built-in effects like reverb and compression. The update includes a chatbot interface that can generate lyrics, create instrumental parts, and apply effects to tracks based on what users ask it to do. While these additions make the software more capable for music production, it remains limited to Suno's own built-in synthesizer and effects rather than supporting third-party plugins that professional producers typically use. The chatbot can also create custom effects plugins and understands the musical context of a user's current project.
