Project Genie is a world model that generates interactive virtual environments and is now being upgraded to ground these environments in real-world locations using Google Street View imagery. This capability allows AI agents and robots to practice navigating and interacting with realistic versions of actual places. The Street View grounding feature is being rolled out to Google AI Ultra subscribers globally and is currently available for locations in the United States, with plans to expand to more places over time.
