The company's president explained that AI search complements rather than substitutes for traditional search, working by understanding buyer intent across multiple dimensions instead of matching just keywords, which leads to better product matches and faster purchase decisions. This contrasts with AI's impact on online publishing, where AI summaries have reduced click-through rates and advertising revenue. The company attributed its strong quarterly financial results, including 36% revenue growth, partly to AI-driven traffic and orders tripling year-over-year, while traditional search traffic continued growing as well.
