Plaud’s new earphones come with an eSIM-enabled case for talking to AI agents

Plaud has launched earphones called Plaud One that combine note-taking hardware with an eSIM-enabled case, allowing users to record conversations and have AI agents transcribe and act on them remotely without a phone or computer. The earphones can connect to tools like Gmail, Google Calendar, Notion and Slack to automate tasks such as writing follow-up emails or creating documents based on conversation content. Hardware companies have increasingly focused on note-taking as an accessible AI use case, embedding microphones into various wearable devices, though competition in this space is intense with multiple companies releasing similar products. The Plaud One is launching in limited quantity as a trial to gauge demand, with pre-orders starting at $249 and shipping expected in the fourth quarter of 2026.
