OpenAI launches ChatGPT desktop app for Linux
OpenAI is finally bringing a dedicated ChatGPT desktop app to Linux operating systems.

OpenAI has released a desktop app for ChatGPT on Linux, making its chatbot available across all major desktop operating systems. The app, which is in preview, supports ChatGPT, ChatGPT Work, and Codex on several Linux distributions including Ubuntu, Debian, and Fedora. Linux developers have been requesting this release for some time, and OpenAI notes that the supported distributions serve as a base for many other compatible versions. A competitor, Anthropic, released a similar Claude desktop app for Linux about a month earlier.
