Coding agents now run for hours, not minutes. Every edit, test run and log read goes back into the model’s context. A team of researchers from NVIDIA, NTU and MIT have released SoL-Pi, a set of 4 efficiency mechanisms for the open-source Pi coding agent. An AI found these mechanisms by running auto-research loops at the harness layer. On the 51-task EdgeBench evaluation, SoL-Pi cuts recorded token traffic by 44.7% to 49.0% versus Pi and cuts API cost by roughly 33%. Its scores stay close
A team of researchers released efficiency mechanisms for an open-source coding agent that reduce the number of tokens, or computational units, required to complete coding tasks. The mechanisms were discovered through automated search loops that tested hundreds of proposed changes across thousands of task executions. These four surviving mechanisms cut token traffic by roughly 45 to 49 percent and reduce API costs by about 33 percent while maintaining approximately 94 percent of the original agent's performance. The improvements matter because coding agents that run for hours consume significant computational resources, and reducing this consumption lowers both cost and environmental impact while maintaining capability.

Meta is building a dedicated hardware device for its new Muse AI agent. The product, called Muse Charm, was briefly shown off by Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg at the end of tonight's Meta Connect presentation. It looks almost like a chunky smartwatch without the strap - just a big screen, plus a little lanyard for carrying the device around. The Muse Charm has a fingerprint sensor on the top right corner that you can press to activate and begin speaking to the agent. There appears t

CEO Mark Zuckerberg kicked off the company’s annual Connect event in Menlo Park on Wednesday with a keynote that made one thing clear: Meta is going all-in on Muse. It's even coming to Meta's AI glasses.

The tiny hardware device creates another mobile home for its AI agent Muse.
