Monday.com lays off hundreds to focus on AI
The company said it is reducing its headcount by 20%, or about 630 staff, to "support a leaner, more focused operating model" as it focuses on its AI Work Platform.

Monday.com, an Israeli workplace software company, is laying off 20 percent of its staff as part of a restructuring to focus its investments on AI projects. The company is redesigning its products around an AI Work Platform that includes a no-code app builder, customizable AI agents, workflow automation, and a chatbot, based on the belief that enterprise customers want AI agents working alongside employees. This layoff is part of a broader trend across the tech industry, where a record 78 percent of companies have cited the need to refocus efforts around AI as a reason for workforce reductions in 2026. The restructuring is expected to cost Monday.com between 45 million and 55 million dollars.
