NVIDIA Blog: How AI Is Changing the Pace of Discovery for Millions Living With Dementia
There are 57 million people worldwide living with dementia today. For the researchers working to help them, the obstacle isn’t a lack of effort — it’s too much data, too few experts to synthesize it and a pace of discovery that can’t keep up with the disease. The Consortium for Biomedical Research and AI in Neurodegeneration (C-BRAIN), working with NVIDIA, is using AI to change that. Alzheimer’s disease is one of today’s leading global health challenges, with over 10 million new dementia cases
A consortium of research institutions is using AI tools to accelerate the discovery of Alzheimer's treatments by analyzing previously inaccessible research data across member organizations. The obstacle to finding treatments has not been lack of effort or funding, but rather too much data scattered across institutions, too few experts to analyze it, and a pace of discovery that cannot keep up with the disease's progression. The consortium is building systems that use AI to work with data stored at different institutions without moving it, while also creating open source tools that can complete analyses in minutes rather than weeks or months. By year three, the consortium aims to discover new causal mechanisms of brain aging and Alzheimer's disease using this comprehensive approach to research.

Apple is bringing an AI assistant to its suite of productivity apps, including Keynote, Pages, and Numbers. The assistant, which is built on AI models from Apple and OpenAI, can understand a document's context to perform tasks like designing, animating, and refining slides in Keynote. In Pages, Apple says the AI assistant can draft, restructure, and tweak written content. It can also calculate, visualize, and organize data in Numbers, while suggesting chart types and building c

Today, Apple rolled out the 27.2 updates for its operating systems, including iOS, macOS, watchOS, tvOS, visionOS, and so on. Let's start with iOS 27.2. This update is heavily focused on Siri AI. It adds a memory feature to Siri, so it can "recall your past conversations" and reference them when chatting with you. It also expands what data sources Siri can access when giving responses to include voicemails, Messages attachments, and more.Read full article Comments

Anthropic says companies should evaluate whether they can consolidate sub-agents into a single agent that loads context on demand. In one architecture comparison, the single-agent setup ran about twice as fast. Anthropic has published a migration kit on GitHub to help teams make the transition.
