Healthcare organizations can now connect patient data from electronic health records and official medical sources directly to ChatGPT, allowing clinicians to ask questions and receive summaries of patient information without switching between multiple systems. The integration includes access to nine official healthcare data sources such as clinical trial databases, medication information, and research databases, enabling teams to cross-reference information from authoritative sources. Physicians have evaluated the system's safety and accuracy on real healthcare scenarios, with ratings showing 99.1% of responses were considered safe and over 93% accuracy when working with connected data sources. This capability is designed to help clinicians spend less time gathering and synthesizing information from different places and more time with patients.
