Google is adding personalized AI avatars to Vids that let users create videos starring a digital version of themselves, alongside Gemini Omni-powered tools for generating and editing videos from prompts and reference images.
Google Vids has added a feature that lets users create custom digital avatars based on their own selfie and voice recording to star in AI-generated videos. The tool also integrates Google's Gemini Omni AI model, which can create videos from written prompts and reference images, edit videos step-by-step, adjust backgrounds and lighting, and add effects. The personal avatars are tied to user accounts, watermarked with SynthID technology, and available only to users aged 18 or older in certain regions.
