Google's AI note-taking app has added a feature called "Expert Intelligence" that lets users pull information from books they've purchased and interact with the material through AI tools. The feature allows users to ask questions about books, generate recipes, infographics, and AI podcasts based on their content. Initially, more than 100,000 books from major publishers will support the feature, and Google is building protections so users can only access books they own. Google plans to eventually expand this capability to its Search and Gemini app, and later support scholarly articles, magazine articles, and newspapers.
