Forgepoint raises $9.8M to automate manufacturing quotes

SiliconANGLE: Forgepoint raises $9.8M to automate custom price quotes for manufacturing firms

Get smart on it

A startup has raised funding to create an AI agent that automates the process of providing price quotes for manufacturers. The agent, which operates like an inside sales representative, analyzes customer requests, reviews attached files, and calculates costs based on a company's own pricing rules and cost models. This matters because manufacturing firms currently respond too slowly to customer inquiries, and research shows that over half of manufacturers expect responses within 24 hours, with 78% of companies buying from whichever supplier responds first. Early users of this technology report a 30% increase in monthly quote throughput and a 55% reduction in the time needed to produce quotes.
