SolarWinds has released Avior, an AI system designed to automate routine IT operations tasks for enterprise teams. The system addresses a key reliability problem with AI agents: they can produce different outcomes on different runs, which creates risks in production environments where uptime and security matter. Avior combines AI models that determine what work needs to be done with a fixed framework of predefined goals and approval controls that govern how that work gets executed, ensuring every action is auditable and consistent. At launch, Avior can merge related alerts into single incidents, detect unauthorized configuration changes, and remove outdated device records from inventory systems.
