Benefit Street Partners speeds up loan analysis with AI coding tools

OpenAI: Benefit Street Partners answers questions faster with Codex

Anant Kumar builds tools to compare loan valuations and analyze credit agreements, using Codex for code review and faster follow-ups.

Get smart on it

A credit-focused investment manager used AI coding tools to build internal software that speeds up financial analysis work. A portfolio manager built a dashboard comparing loan valuations and an analyzer for credit agreements that previously required outside legal expertise, reducing follow-up response times from days or weeks to same-day or even during-meeting answers. The tools assist with data processing and analysis, but humans retain responsibility for final investment decisions. The company plans to expand these capabilities to monitor loans across its portfolio continuously rather than re-examining them only after specific events.
