Anthropic’s Claude Tag is learning your company, one Slack message at a time

Anthropic is introducing Claude Tag, an AI assistant that operates within Slack as a persistent team member for Claude Enterprise and Claude Team customers. Unlike previous on-demand integrations, Claude Tag maintains ongoing context about conversations and work in specific channels, learning organizational information over time while respecting administrator-defined access boundaries. The tool can work both on assigned tasks that it breaks down into stages and in an ambient mode where it proactively flags issues and follows up on forgotten threads. Context and organizational knowledge are becoming increasingly important for enterprise AI deployments, with multiple companies including Microsoft, Snowflake, Databricks, and Glean also building systems that help AI agents understand company-specific information.
