Zoox unveils production-ready robotaxi for U.S. expansion

Zoox, an autonomous vehicle company, has unveiled the final production design of its purpose-built robotaxi after gathering feedback from more than half a million riders. The vehicle features a distinctive "carriage-like" interior with four passengers sitting facing each other, no steering wheel or pedals, and an aloe-green and stone-grey color scheme designed to minimize distractions. The company plans to scale production to 100 vehicles per week and expand revenue-generating service beyond its current locations, while coordinating with regulators for full approval of the platform. This represents a significant step toward mass manufacturing of autonomous vehicles for commercial use across multiple U.S. cities.
