A San Francisco-based startup has launched Isaac 1, a wheeled home humanoid robot designed to handle household tasks such as folding laundry, tidying rooms, making beds, and putting away toys. The robot features a cartoon-like face and soft fabric body to appear approachable, adjustable height from 3 feet to 5 feet 9 inches, two arms with two-finger grippers, autonomous navigation between rooms, and an eight-hour battery with a two-hour recharge time. The company is positioning Isaac 1 as an affordable entry point into home robotics, priced at $7,999 or $449 per month, with deliveries planned to begin in the fall. The robot can be controlled through a companion app for scheduling and remote access, and includes privacy features such as camera shutters and a privacy screen on the charging station.
