Reframe Systems raises $40M to scale its robotic microfactories for home building

Reframe Systems, a robotics company, raised $40 million in funding to expand its network of automated microfactories that construct homes using robotics and software. The company addresses a shortage of homes in the U.S. by building homes near communities in factories rather than through traditional on-site construction involving many subcontractors. The funding will support expansion of the microfactory network across North America, with the company aiming to deliver one million homes by 2040. Reframe has already completed 10 homes and plans to open a new factory designed to produce up to 500 multifamily units or 250 single-family homes annually.
