The company raised funding based on the premise that the solar energy buildout faces labor shortages, and that recent advances in AI models now enable robots to work effectively in the unstructured outdoor environments of construction. The startup's systems can process tasks like positioning solar panels with high precision, and the founders believe the same underlying AI pipeline can be adapted to other labor-intensive construction tasks over time. The company is already contracted to help install solar panels at multiple sites and is competing with other robotics companies pursuing similar work in the construction automation space.
