The company is positioning itself against Tesla's upcoming Optimus robot by highlighting that Digit is already generating revenue through deployments, whereas Tesla's robot is still in development. Agility's approach emphasizes practical, safety-focused autonomy rather than relying heavily on generative AI for critical functions, and the company is preparing to become a publicly traded humanoid robot company. The facility will help accelerate Digit deployments as the company pursues manufacturing and logistics applications, with leadership suggesting the market for such robots could eventually reach massive scale.
