Apple Intelligence, the company's generative AI offering, has been approved for launch in China after Apple integrated Alibaba's Qwen AI model into its operating systems. This approval from China's internet content regulator is significant because Apple generates substantial sales in Greater China and had previously delayed Apple Intelligence features in the Chinese market due to lack of regulatory approval. Apple is also working with Baidu on developing Apple Intelligence features for Chinese users and is exploring integrations with other companies.
