
AI chip maker SambaNova has raised at an $11B valuation months after Intel was rumored to be trying to buy it for about $1.6 billion.
SambaNova Systems, an AI chip maker, has raised $1 billion at an $11 billion valuation in its Series F funding round led by General Atlantic. This funding comes five months after the company announced its SN50 chip and raised $350 million in its Series E round. The company plans to use the capital to scale its business and secure its supply chain to meet demand, while also announcing a partnership with JPMorgan Chase to power the bank's on-premises AI inference systems. SambaNova's CEO indicated the company could eventually go public, though it remains open to acquisition offers, and noted that enterprises and governments are beginning their AI infrastructure buildouts beyond just cloud-based model development.

The company just raised $7 million in seed funding, and is launching its app for iPhone and Android on Tuesday.
