Vinci builds physics-driven AI for faster chip simulation

SiliconANGLE: Vinci targets faster chip design and simulation with physics-driven AI

Simulation is a hardware engineer’s best friend, adept at finding issues in product designs and avoiding a disastrous deployment. Yet the process of orchestrating simulations has required specialized skills and lots of time. A Silicon Valley-based startup is working to change this picture. Vinci4D Inc., which emerged from stealth in December, has built a software […] The post Vinci targets faster chip design and simulation with physics-driven AI appeared first on SiliconANGLE.

Get smart on it

A Silicon Valley startup has built software that uses physics-driven artificial intelligence to run hardware simulations much faster than conventional tools, enabling engineers to detect design issues in one day rather than two weeks. The company claims its technology operates up to 1,000 times faster than traditional simulation tools while maintaining higher accuracy. This matters because faster simulations can shorten product development cycles for chip and hardware design, which is increasingly important as semiconductor manufacturing becomes more technically complex. The startup recently closed a $250 million funding round and is working with major chipmakers to apply this technology to circuit board design, chip packaging, and advanced manufacturing processes.
