Music streaming service TIDAL is preventing fully AI-generated music from earning money on its platform and will use automated tools to remove AI music that impersonates artists. The company will tag all fully AI-generated tracks with an "AI" badge so listeners can identify them, and these tracks will be ineligible for monetization, royalties, or direct-to-fan sales. This policy reflects growing concern among listeners who do not want to hear AI-generated music, and joins similar measures taken by other streaming services like Spotify and Apple Music to address the increasing volume of AI tracks on their platforms.
