After a two-week negotiation with the Trump administration, Anthropic's Mythos 5 cybersecurity model has been redeployed to a select group of organizations including cyber defenders and infrastructure providers, though broader public access through Fable 5 remains unavailable. The government approved this limited exception without lifting the export control directive that had barred foreign nationals from accessing either model. This matters because it represents partial resolution to a dispute between the company and the administration over access to its AI systems, though the path to general public availability remains unclear.
