The company raised $13 million in funding to advance this technology, which it believes will improve customer support interactions where even brief pauses feel unnatural. The approach differs from competitors by focusing exclusively on real-time voice conversations for enterprise customers rather than broader audio applications like podcasting or dubbing. When the model encounters topics outside its knowledge base, it hands off to a larger language model, mimicking how a human customer service representative might need to research an issue.
