Sequoia-incubated Empirik launches with $21M to predict outages before they happen
The startup wants to do for IT infrastructure what Cursor did for software engineering.

Empirik is an AI-powered tool that predicts infrastructure outages before they happen by tracking system changes and inferring their potential effects across entire infrastructure environments. The startup was incubated by Sequoia Capital and has now launched independently after raising $21 million in seed funding from Sequoia, Canapi, and Alumni Ventures. The tool functions as an autonomous "traffic cop" that permits low-risk changes, sets guardrails on larger ones, and flags dangerous updates for human review, allowing DevOps and site reliability engineering teams to focus on higher-value work instead of routine troubleshooting. The company has already secured customers ranging from startups to Fortune 500 companies since launching earlier this year.
