Get smart on it

Nvidia is in early talks to acquire, invest more in, or acquihire open-weight model developer Reflection AI, with a potential agreement possible within weeks. An acquihire would involve Nvidia hiring Reflection's staff and licensing its technology while avoiding lengthy regulatory review, whereas a full acquisition or increased investment stake are also being considered. Reflection is already a major Nvidia investment, with the chipmaker having invested $800 million total and leading a $2 billion funding round. This matters because it reflects Nvidia's ongoing strategy of consolidating AI talent and technology, following similar recent deals with other AI companies.
