Nscale, a neocloud company, is preparing for an initial public offering that will reveal whether Wall Street investors are comfortable buying into AI infrastructure companies that depend heavily on just a few major customers. About 85% of Nscale's $103 billion in contracts come from two sources: a Microsoft deal worth $43.8 billion and an Anthropic agreement worth $44.6 billion, though the Anthropic deal includes conditions that allow the company to walk away if Nscale fails to meet certain milestones. This concentration of revenue among a small number of customers reflects a broader pattern in the AI infrastructure industry, where a single strategic shift by a major client could significantly affect entire companies. The IPO will test whether investors view this dependency as an acceptable risk.
