A new AI compliance company has raised $21.7 million in funding to help with regulatory requirements for U.S. infrastructure projects, particularly those receiving federal funding. The company uses AI to convert unstructured documents into structured data, then applies deterministic systems to check compliance against complex rules like prevailing wage requirements and safety standards. Non-compliance with these overlapping regulations can result in millions of dollars in fines, making automated checking valuable since tasks that previously took a full day can now be completed in minutes. The software is already being used across about 700 projects, with customers either deploying it as an in-house tool or outsourcing the entire compliance process to the company.
