A startup called Ando has launched a team messaging platform designed specifically to integrate AI agents as active participants alongside human workers, rather than treating them as passive tools. The platform addresses a problem where current messaging services like Slack and Teams were built for human-only communication, requiring people to manually relay information between AI agents and their teams. Ando's app gives agents their own identities and inboxes so they can participate directly in conversations, join channels, and initiate messages without human intermediaries. The company raised twenty million dollars in funding and is currently working with customers in software, real estate, and finance, with the founder arguing that AI agents can manage coordination tasks more effectively than humans because they can process more messages in less time.
