Uber is rolling out ChatGPT Work to more than 30,000 employees, helping teams research, analyze data, create presentations, and complete complex workflows.
Uber has expanded its deployment of ChatGPT Work, OpenAI's enterprise AI agent tool, to its entire global workforce of approximately 30,000 employees, up from an initial pilot of 1,000 employees. The tool connects with applications employees use daily including Google Drive, Gmail, Google Calendar, and Slack to help with research, data analysis, presentations, and complex workflows. This marks Uber's first company-wide deployment of an agentic platform for knowledge work.
The deployment represents a significant expansion of AI agent adoption in enterprise knowledge work across a major global company. Uber's approach of tracking usage and outcomes rather than settling on predetermined use cases could inform how other companies deploy similar technologies.
