Solos has released a new version of its smart glasses that weigh approximately 19 grams, nearly half the weight of its previous model from the prior year. These glasses do not include cameras but instead rely on voice commands to access an AI assistant that can answer questions, provide real-time translations, and deliver calendar reminders. The lighter design comes from thinner temple arms that house speakers, batteries, and other electronics, and the glasses will support prescription lens compatibility and come in multiple styles including transparent options. Solos also introduced privacy accessories for its earlier smart glasses model, including colored temple replacements and physical camera shields that can be purchased individually or as bundles.

The integration simplifies how machine learning teams deploy open-source models into production environments without manual configuration.
