ServiceNow launches AI Control Tower for enterprise agents

SiliconANGLE: ServiceNow AI Control Tower: Selling a penthouse while building the frame

ServiceNow Inc. is making one of the more consequential and visible bets in enterprise AI. The company says AI Control Tower can discover and govern any agent, work across models and clouds, track cost and value, and shut down behavior that violates policy. That sales pitch plays directly to ServiceNow’s greatest asset – its installed […] The post ServiceNow AI Control Tower: Selling a penthouse while building the frame appeared first on SiliconANGLE.

Get smart on it

ServiceNow is betting that its new AI Control Tower can become the central system for discovering, governing, and managing AI agents across different models and clouds in large enterprises. The company's advantage stems from its existing relationships with enterprise customers and its knowledge of how work flows through their organizations, but field research with fifteen large enterprise customers reveals that while ServiceNow excels at governance workflows like approvals and accountability, most customers still rely on external or custom solutions for runtime enforcement and technical validation of AI models. The analysis identifies three distinct technical functions that companies need, with ServiceNow currently dominating only the workflow and accountability layer, though it has the opportunity to connect all three layers together. This matters because enterprise customers should be cautious about claims that ServiceNow AI Control Tower is a complete end-to-end platform when the technology to govern all aspects of AI systems is still being built and tested.
