Get smart on it

PagerDuty, an operations management software company, released Paige, an artificial intelligence agent designed to help site reliability engineering teams manage system incidents and outages. Paige operates within the company's renamed PD Reliability Platform and can be placed on call to triage incidents, offer diagnostics with confidence levels and supporting evidence, and take autonomous action in low-risk scenarios that teams have authorized in advance. The company built Paige to address challenges created by AI-generated production software that may break in new ways, including model drift, token runaway, and leaked personal data. The platform aims to combine human oversight with AI capabilities, allowing teams to resolve incidents faster while maintaining control over which decisions the agent makes independently versus those requiring human approval.
