Meta introduces Spaces for collaborating with Muse agents

TechCrunch: Meta introduces Spaces, a new way to collaborate with your Muse agent

Meta's Muse agents continue to get new features and integrations. Spaces promises to be a new way to interact with the AI helpers.

What happened

Meta has launched Spaces, a feature that lets users create customized, topic-focused experiences within their Muse AI assistant, such as shopping hubs, school dashboards, or music trackers. Users can build spaces by describing what they want to Muse and refine them through conversation, with the ability to interact by checking items off and adding notes. When connected to relevant apps, spaces automatically update with current pricing, dates, and other information.

What each outlet adds
  • TechCrunch ↗: Spaces is the second new Muse feature released in a week, following Muse Voice, and Muse agents have accumulated 10 million users in the U.S. and Canada within less than two months.
  • The Verge ↗: Meta is exploring future options for sharing and collaborating on spaces with other users, and spaces can be added to the sidebar, moved between tabs, and scheduled for when they appear.
Why it matters

Muse agents have gained significant traction since their debut. Meta is continuing to add new features and integrations to the AI helpers.

Get smart on it

Meta has introduced Spaces, a feature that enables users to collaborate with their Muse agents by creating topic-focused conversations within the agent interface. Spaces function as custom experiences that organize ongoing projects, such as vacation planning or recipe collection, and can integrate with third-party apps to automatically update information like concert dates and price changes. This represents the second new Muse feature released in a week, following the recent launch of Muse Voice, which allows users to video chat with their agent and give verbal commands. The Muse agents themselves have gained significant traction since their debut, accumulating 10 million users in the U.S. and Canada within less than two months.
