Honeyjar automates PR work for founders and marketers

TechCrunch: Honeyjar offers AI tools to improve PR and comms at every company

Journalists, entrepreneurs, and even some public relations professionals will tell you that the PR process is broken. But could AI actually make things better?

Get smart on it

Honeyjar is a startup that uses AI to automate public relations and communications work like writing announcements, identifying journalists to pitch, and finding speaking opportunities. The company was founded by PR professionals with decades of experience who wanted to make senior-level communications expertise available to founders and others without formal comms roles, such as marketers, investors, and creators. The startup received 10,000 signups in its first 24 hours and counts companies like Nextdoor and Bloomberg Beta as beta testers. While the founders emphasize that humans remain responsible for sending pitches and that the tool is designed to enhance rather than replace PR professionals, the technology raises concerns about potentially overwhelming journalists with additional automated outreach.
