Axiom Math formally verifies major mathematics library

TechCrunch: Axiom Math wants to keep AI slop out of mathematics

As AI floods math with unchecked proofs, Axiom Math is betting on verification. The startup’s AI agents just formally verified the Stacks Project, one of the field’s biggest libraries.

Get smart on it

A startup has formally verified one of the largest collections of mathematics ever written by humans by translating it into computer-checked code. The project matters because AI systems are increasingly producing mathematical claims that need reliable foundations to build upon, and verified mathematics could prevent the spread of flawed results. Formal verification, which checks code line by line to ensure logical soundness, has been used in engineering and software but represents a major gap-filling effort in mathematics, particularly in the field of algebraic geometry. The company argues that verified mathematical results create building blocks for future work, allowing AI agents to build on checked knowledge rather than starting from scratch and potentially propagating errors.

Teammates integrate with Perplexity Computer, an AI system that can deploy agents on your device to complete tasks. But Perplexity says Teammates "build on top" of Computer by offering the ability to collaborate and co

Only four rides were arranged by third-party AI agents during the third quarter of 2026, Uber executives disclosed during an earnings call this morning. The volume of Uber Eats orders fulfilled by AI agents was a little higher, with the company recording "around 500" during the week of Halloween, out of a total 320 million Uber rides and Uber Eats deliveries. This is the first time that Uber has disclosed the number of t
