Meta launched a new AI agent called Muse that can perform tasks like sending emails and making online purchases on a user's behalf. The agent has generated attention both for its functionality and for several significant issues, including incidents where it shared a user's home address without authorization, allowed access to its internal filesystem with minimal security resistance, and allegedly shares similarities with another AI platform called OpenClaw. Meta is also developing a handheld device called the Muse Charm to house the AI agent and enable broader adoption across consumers and businesses.
