1Password is introducing a feature that allows AI agents to sign into user accounts without ever seeing or handling passwords. When an agent needs to access an account, it uses a digital key to verify its identity to 1Password, which then notifies the user about which credentials are needed and why. Users must approve each sign-in request on their own device before 1Password fills in the login information, similar to two-factor authentication, ensuring agents never actually see the passwords.
